Sugar Scrub

This weekend, I mixed up a batch of homemade Sugar Scrub. I'll use this in the gift baskets I give to family and friends. Fill jars with the sugar scrub, print a label from the computer and tie with a pretty ribbon. My oldest two daughters and I love using the sugar scrub in the shower

Ingredients
1 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil (optional - used as a preservative)
1 teaspoon cocoa butter
6 drops lavendar essential oil (or any fragrance you like)

Instructions
Mix all ingredients until well blended. Place into a clean glass jar with a tight lid and add a fancy label. I highly recommend the 1/2 pint wide mouth canning jars and wide mouth plastic storage lids.

  2. Do you grate the cocoa butter? Or melt it?

  3. I melt the cocoa butter in the microwave (5 - 10 seconds max) - this makes it blend better with the sugar.

  6. OH MY LORD! I made some of this to try and it is AWESOME!!!!!! I was telling Liz about it yesterday and made her some to take with her. I was telling her it was my new favorite thing to have in the shower with me, and as soon as I said it I knew Jeff was going to say something. Now his feelings are hurt. I tried explaining it was my favorite PRODUCT.
