Way Back Wednesday - I'll Be There

To celebrate my love of Craig Ferguson, I'm highlighting one of his movies ...

... I'll Be There is a 2003 British comedy-drama film directed and co-written by Craig Ferguson, who, in his directorial debut, also stars in the film with singer Charlotte Church in her film debut.

A washed-up 80's pop star suddenly has a new direction in life when he discovers that he has a teenage daughter, Olivia, in Cardiff, Wales. The result of a weekend affair he had back at the height of his fame produced Olivia, a newspaper delivery girl for the South Wales Echo. He arrives in the small Welsh town, unsettling the life of his ex-lover while inspiring his newfound daughter to follow in his footsteps with a musical career of her own, against the wishes of her mother.

Favorite quotes:

Dr. Bridget: You drove your motorcycle through a second floor window in your house. Would you call that the act of a sane man?
Paul Kerr: Hey! I'm a rock star. I've driven cars into swimming pools and thrown television sets out of windows. It's part of the job!

Paul Kerr: Be reasonable, why would I try to kill myself? I'm rich and I'm Scottish, it doesn't get better than that.

Paul Kerr: I'm not mad, I'm just creative!

Paul Kerr: I just think its amazing that I bought a house so close to here. It's like Kermit!
Rebecca Edmonds:
You mean kismet, Kermit's a frog you idiot!

Olivia Edmonds: Can I have twenty pounds please Mum?
Rebecca Edmonds: Why?
Olivia Edmonds: Well, I need currency to have a viable existence in a capitalist society.
Gordano:
Ask a stupid question...

Throw Down on Late Night ...

... lucky white rabbits, lucky white rabbits.

Now that Conan O'Brien has taken over the coveted 11:30 late night spot, Jimmy Fallon has moved up to run head to head against Craig Ferguson. I like Jimmy well enough - I loved him on SNL - but he seems stiff in his role as a late night host.

Craig is going to wipe the stage with Jimmy's little carcass!! According to CBS, Craig is already pulling away from Jimmy in the ratings.

Last night, Craig challenged Jimmy to an on-air, naked wrestling competition ... where do I sign up for tickets??

But don't take my word for it, check out Craig for yourself - 12:30 Monday - Friday on CBS.

Oops, He Did It Again ...

... he played with my heart ... and had me laughing so hard I was rolling in the floor. I love Craig Ferguson and I watch his show every night. Occasionally - like the night of my 19th wedding anniversary - I DVR the show to watch at a later date. I do enjoy me some Craig - he's one of my guilty pleasures - which is okay 'cause hubby enjoys watching him, too.

So tonight hubby and I are catching up on DVRd shows, and Craig was first on the list. The opening from the May 19th show was a musical number - Craig lip syncing to Britney Spears' "Oops I Did It Again." Can we all say HIL-AR-I-OUS?!!! Oh, and not only was he lip syncing, but he was doing the dance moves as well, along with the puppets signing the chorus.

And of course, I can't leave you hanging, so I've found the video, courtesy of my friend YouTube.

What Did We Learn on the Show Tonight, Craig?

I love the "what did we learn on the show tonight" kitty at the end of The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. You never know what that bad kitty will do. Here are a few of my favorites:

David and Craig - On One Stage

Here are 2 of my favorite people, together on one show - David Boreanaz and Craig Ferguson! David was a guest on Tuesday night's Late, Late Show.

Don't you just love Craig??!! He is my favorite late night comedian - I like him much better than Leno and Letterman.
