Why Can't There Be Peace?

According to the New York Times:
GAZA — In a third straight day of deadly air strikes against the emblems and institutions of Hamas on Monday, Israeli warplanes pounded targets in Gaza including the Interior Ministry while the Israeli Army declared areas around the beleaguered enclave a “closed military zone.”

With another year coming to an end, why can't there be peace in the world?

I agree. It is sad to me that there are still many parts of our world that are living in such prehistoric conditions, such as widespread violence, as well as poverty and widespread disease. Even with the problems we have in this country, we live much better than the people in many other countries.

Amen. Why people want to continue to inflict this pain upon each other instead of leaving each other in peace - is a matter of ignorance. We only get 1 life on this earth.

As far as I know, Palestine and Israel are ruled by Aries the Ram. This in turn is ruled by Mars, the War Planet.

In my humble opinion, the Middle East will never see peace as long as the Earth is spinning. Not very encouraging, I realize...
