The Pressure is Building ....

.... and I'm going to explode - literally. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for years, but my daughter's wedding is about to push me over the edge.

I am so excited for her and her sweetie and I wish them a long and happy life together. I'm looking forward to having a son-in-law, 'cause I've never had a son. I'm looking forward to prospective grandchildren, 'cause I've missed having babies around.

But the stress and anxiety of having to be around my ex-husband and his family tomorrow for rehearsal and then on Saturday for the wedding and reception - it's just about more than I can handle.

So, if I don't post for a few days, someone may have to come looking for me - unless they cart me off to Ridge in a straight jacket ... then I'll have my hubby auction off my blog to the highest bidder.

I know about anxiety and depression. I went through such a horrible, horrible bout of depression a few years back, and have always had anxiety issues. Thankfully I found a great therapist who taught me how to see it all coming and how to fight it all away. I'm sure she saved, if not my actual life, then surely my sanity, lol!

Sending calming vibes your way! At least it is all, in the end, for a great cause. Just keep remembering that!

((hugs))

I've suffered with depression, too (and suffered is exactly the right word for it)-- and I married off my eldest a year ago -- it was stressful but fun -- but I didn't have to deal with any exes so I can't say I know much about that -- however, I hope everything will go smoothly and won't be as bad as you think it might. Good luck and I'm sure the wedding will be beautiful!

good luck! I know when my BFF got married she stressed so much about her divorced parents being in the same room. It had been many many years and they never got along. It was her biggest worry on her wedding day. The fact that her Mom and Dad not only were civil but got along and even danced together made her wedding day extra special to her. And prepared everyone for the other events when the parents would have to get together like her sons birth, baptism and birthdays.
